The North Warwickshire Chamber Orchestra was founded by Nuneaton GP and pianist Dr. Stephen Jones, and gave its first performance in March 1997 at Holy Trinity Church, Attleborough, in Nuneaton. The orchestra has successfully brought quality music-making to North Warwickshire. It has since gone from strength to strength, drawing increasingly larger audiences and performing a diverse yet popular repertoire. Performances so far have varied from smaller scale chamber works such as the Mozart 13 Winds Serenade, to larger symphonic pieces, and most programmes have included music from across the centuries up to the present day.
The NWCO actively promotes the talent of local soloists and composers.
